MARK DAOU

MARK DAOU

Biography

Mark Daou is a member of the Lebanese Parliament and a prominent voice for reform, sovereignty, and progressive politics in Lebanon. His career is rooted in over 25 years of political activism and civic engagement, during which he has championed causes centered on democracy, secularism, human rights, and social justice.

A university lecturer in Media Studies at both the American University of Beirut and the Lebanese American University, Daou brings academic rigor to his political and public service roles. He was the founder of the Rowat Public Relations firm and has also co-founded the Taqaddom party, a progressive political movement that emerged in the wake of Lebanon’s recent popular uprisings.

His educational background includes a degree in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a business degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB). As an entrepreneur, he has focused on media, communications, and more recently, technology outsourcing services—reflecting his forward-looking approach to Lebanon’s economic challenges.
