“Our Time to Speak” is a civic initiative that examines the relationship between Lebanese citizens and the state, with particular attention to Shiite communities in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and Beirut’s southern suburbs. Through research, articles, interviews, and public discussions, the project explores citizenship, the social contract, economic recovery, reconstruction, education, healthcare, environmental issues, and the impact of war on women and affected communities. It also provides a platform for independent voices and develops policy recommendations aimed at rebuilding trust, strengthening state institutions, supporting transparent recovery, and restoring a direct relationship between citizens and the Lebanese state.
