In 2013, a group of dedicated human rights advocates and political activists came together to establish DAWRUNA. This initiative emerged from the recognition of a significant need for safe spaces that empower youth, women, and marginalized groups in Lebanon. The founders aimed to create an environment where these individuals could build their capacity, gain confidence, and actively participate in shaping their communities and the broader society.

We allocate our funds thoughtfully to ensure maximum benefit to our community and transparency in our operations. A significant portion of our budget, 75%, is dedicated to our transformative programs, which directly enhance quality of life and empower individuals with the realization of their rights. Additionally, 15% of our funds support advocacy initiatives that drive informed public discourse and equitable policy development. We also allocate 5% towards administration to maintain efficient and accountable operations, and another 5% is invested in marketing efforts to raise awareness and engage more people in our mission.
